Aerospace Systems Engineering Section

The Aerospace Systems Engineering Section performs projects and activities related to major aircraft subsystems, including propulsion, avionics, electrical, electronic and mechanical redesign primarily for the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center Depot located at Tinker Air Force Base. Similar work is performed for other government agencies, commercial clients and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). 

SwRI staff members provide engineering expertise for projects concerned with advanced fault detection and diagnostics; software development to support web-based and thick client-based database applications and analysis tools; web services; technology insertion; reliability and maintainability improvement; hardware redesign for mature subsystems; support equipment functionality; system automation; process and performance improvement; and technical manual development for a variety of weapon systems including B-1, B-2, B-52, E-3 and KC-135 aircraft as well as F100, F101, F108, F110, F118, T56, TF33, TF34, and TF39 engines and cruise missiles.
